Delta Queen is an annual philanthropy event presented by the Iota Epsilon Chapter of Delta Tau Delta.
It is held to benefit a local charitable organization in the Orange County area. |

Our Mission: |

To inspire action in college students, to become dynamically involved in charity. |
|
|

Our Success: |

|
Over the past 2 years, Delta Queen has accomplished an unprecedented amount of success as a completely student-run production.
The achievements of Delta Queen so far include: -Raising over $47,000 in its first 2 years. -Fully televised and webcasted -Over 600 live audience members attend. -10,000 impressions -Most successful student run philanthropy at Chapman University in its inaugural year. |

Delta Queen 2010: |

|
On May 1st, The Iota Epsilon Chapter of Delta Tau Delta, will be presenting the Delta Queen 2010 Pageant.
The production will showcase some of the brightest and most talented young women at Chapman University.
These students will compete for the title of Delta Queen in categories including;
talent showcase, personality walk, and a question and answer section on what philanthropy truly means to them.
The brothers of Delta Tau Delta will donate all net proceeds of the event to the Beckstrand Cancer Foundation. |

Beckstrand Cancer Foundation is a non-profit organization, based in Newport Beach, California.
The mission of Beckstrand is to improve and enhance the lives of cancer patience’s and their families through financial support.
Beckstrand reaches out to patients through financial assistance, patient advocacy, and many other resources.

Our 2010 Goals: |

In addition to supporting the work of Beckstrand, The Delta Queen pageant seeks to actively reach out to the public to promote the importance of service to the community. This year’s goals for Delta Queen 2010 are to: -Present exceptional young women who are leaders in their community, both in and beyond Chapman. -Form a sense of unity within both the Greek system and the student body at large. -Reach out to Orange County businesses and residents by spreading awareness of a local charity. -Represent Chapman University as a leading institution in the community. |
