Representing Alpha Gamma Delta & Phi Kappa Tau is Jackie DieBold. Jackie is a sophomore Dance and Strategic Corporate Communications double major from Morgan Hill, CA. While at Chapman, Jackie has been involved with Toxique, Chapman Dance Alliance, and is a Guest Relations Assistant at the Union and Fitness Center. She is also involved with Dancers Against Cancer. After being diagnosed with a bone tumor at age 10, Jackie would like to work for a medical firm as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Jackie has always had the secret desire to be in a pageant and is thrilled to be able to represent her sorority and be a positive role model while raising funds for a philanthropic cause. She is looking forward to getting to know the other contestants and become one big support system for one another. Did you know? Jackie is incredibly flexible and was part of her dance studio's Gumby Club, and at one point when she was little she thought she was an elf!
Representing Alpha Phi & Phi Delta Theta is Jillian Hunt. Jillian is a senior Strategic Corporate Communications major from Bellevue, WA. Throughout her time at Chapman, Jillian has been a member of Order of Omega, an Alumni Discovery Ambassador, a dance teacher, a barista, and an intern with PR and humanitarian organizations. Jillian enjoys being outdoors, whether it's hiking, skiing, or hanging out on the beach. She also loves dogs and volunteering in the community. Jillian's goal is to be the head of an international non-profit. Through Delta Queen, she is excited to know other members of the Greek community and helping an amazing cause that is close to her heart. Jillian is most nervous about tripping on stage! Did you know? Jillian loves peas and knows just about every cheesy quote in the books.
Representing Gamma Phi Beta is Annie Newman. Annie is a sophomore Integrated Educational Studies major from Alamo, CA. Annie enjoys dancing, painting, and skiing, and is passionate about natural health. Since being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, Annie has become passionate about natural health and would like to open up a health clinic that looks at each person holistically, providing naturopathic medicine, acupuncture, aromatherapy, counseling, yoga, and nutritional guidance. She is honored to be selected to represent Gamma Phi Beta and hopes to make them proud! She is looking forward to learning more about fundraising and working with JDRF. To her, being able to impact this foundation in such a fun and creative way is what makes Delta Queen so great! Did you know? Blood is Annie's biggest fear. Her family has to call it the "B word," and once she even got a concussion from passing out after hearing a gory story!
Representing Delta Delta Delta & Beta Theta Pi is Taylor Krause. Taylor is a junior Chemistry major from San Diego, CA. Taylor has been a part of Women in Science & Technology, American Chemical Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Student Government Association, and Global Medical Brigades. In her future, Taylor plans to implement sustainability into developing communities through environmentalism. She is excited to be a part of DQ because she is very passionate about raising awareness and fundraising for organizations with valuable initiatives, like JDRF. Her dad was diagnosed with type one diabetes, and with her and 2 younger brother all very susceptible to developing diabetes she know that it has a more than worthwhile cause. She feels that DQ is also a representation of influential women on campus and an opportunity for them to personally develop organizational and other skills and grants them the potential to make a difference and spread awareness for a worthwhile organization. Did you know? Taylor got a small acid burn from hydrosulfuric acid in O-chem lab and 10 firemen showed up... and now everyone has to wear pants for lab.
Representing Delta Gamma & Pi Kappa Alpha is Wendy Acquazzino. Wendy is a senior Political Science Major from Lake Forest, CA. While at Chapman, Wendy has served as an Orientation Assistant & Coordinator, a C.A.R.E.S member, a PEER and Health Education Assistant, and a volunteer at the Blind Children's Learning Center and Sunnycrest Senior Living Home. Wendy enjoys reading, baking, watching every Housewives series on Bravo, and listening to Serial. Wendy's goal is to be a District Attorney. For Wendy, Delta Queen is a unique event in that it is one of the few events she believes truly engages the entire Chapman community. For the past three years she has witnessed the impact that Delta Queen has had on not only the organization it is fundraising for, but also the women participating in it. For her, being able to participate in this event during her last semester is one of the best ways to end her college career! Did you know? Wendy was named after her grandfather Wendell and can tell you every soup of the day for each day at The Cheesecake Factory (she says Sunday has the best).
Representing Kappa Alpha Theta & Sigma Alpha Mu is Morgan Jul. Morgan is a junior Television and Broadcast Journalism major from Poway, CA. Aside from spending time dancing, singing, and catching up on pop culture, Morgan is involved with the Floor 13 hip hop team and various internships. Morgan hopes to one day be a producer on The Ellen Degeneres Show. Morgan is excited to be a part of Delta Queen because she has heard good things from past contestants about their experience, and raising money for a good cause while simultaneously putting together a show is truly the best of both worlds for her. She is looking forward to doing everything from producing so setting up fundraisers that because she just loves coordinating everything! Did you know? Morgan's last name is "Christmas" in Danish, and she loves Christmas so much!
Representing Kappa Kappa Gamma and Alpha Epsilon Pi is Meredith Miller. Meredith is a freshman Dance major from Grapevine, Texas. Meredith is heavily involved in dance as a participant in Airbands and So You Think You Can Diabeat This, a member of Chapman Dance Alliance, and a dance teacher at The Music Room. Meredith enjoys beach trips, traveling, going to the gym, and chilling with her dog, and hopes to be a professional dancer and choreographer. She is looking forward to helping raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation because for her it is important that organizations like that are funded. She is excited to get to know all of the other contestants and everyone involved and is honored to be able to represent Kappa. Did you know? Meredith always gets a venti black iced tea with 10 pumps of classic sweetener at Starbucks (yes, 10).
Representing Phi Sigma Sigma & Fiji is Nico Lozano. Nico is a senior Integrated Educational Studies major from Irvine, CA. While at Chapman, Nico has been the co-founder of the Commuters Club, a middle school tutor, and a shift leader at Casey's Cupcakes. She hopes to one day be an elementary school principal. Nico enjoys going to Disneyland, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends. She is excited to participate in the pageant and be able to work with everyone involved in making this event a huge success. She is also looking forward to supporting and raising funds for JDFR, representing her chapter, and having many opportunities to make Miss Congeniality references! Did you know? Nico has donated 12 inches of her hair twice to Locks of Love and used to be fascinated with the Rockabilly style in high school. Her dream car is a 1956 Chevy Bel-Air and she loves vintage dresses.
